I've seen a lot of people talk about punching queers in the face, or just calling people faggots for doing something effeminate on here. I was wondering what everybody else's reaction to those sorts of comments is.

Yeah, it's not so much that. I've accepted that people are going to use gay=bad. I seen an episode of homicide last night where they thought some guy got killed in a hate crime because he was gay, they went and told his dad that he was gay who then said, I guess maybe it's better that he's dead, then.

It reminded me of some of the threads I've read here, where people say that if a guy hit on him he'd go haywire. And the pantyhose thread.

Yeah, what I think about gays does have a lot to do with my education

Yeah I use the word "gay" as a way of saying bad. Like if someone tells me their video card just fried I might reply with, "Damn thats gay, what caused that to happen?". I also make jokes about homos. I also call friends of mine homo when I am joking around.

But I have no genuine hate or even dislike toward homos. Being the most hetero man on earth, it is hard for me to understand homos and I generally don't go out of my way to associate with them, actually I try to avoid them simply because it is human nature to fear/avoid the unfamiliar.

I use the word i love you all the time. Like "Dammit i love you" or "wtf i love you look what you did."

I use just like the word buttwipe, or dude -

I guess Im just a "teeniebopper" <~~~as mom would say.

Anyways, if people are gay, then who cares. its their choice. If they like the old tube steak in the rump roast, then that their problem.

What?!?!?! A Lot of people? I have RARELY read anything here @ ATOT that deals with gay-bashing. There have been a few incidents, but that's it. Who cares?

No, actually I am the complete opposite of insecure. I am so secure that I am willing to lay it out right on the line, open myself up for judgement, and tell the world that I am extremely hetero.

I own a pink shirt. Does that make me gay?

Hetero Pride! Hetero Pride! I want to organize and participate in a Heterosexual Parade! Just think, the men can wear men's clothes and the women can wear women's clothes!!!

Oh yeah, the question; I have a thick skin. It doesn't bother me when some says "hey Guinea!" or "hey pizzaboy!" or other Italizn deragtory comment....so me saying "i love you" or "rumpranger" doesn't seem offensive to me. But those gay guys are waaay too sensitive.

Those who are truly secure in their sexuality don't need to proclaim to the world that they are "the most heterosexual man on earth". Do you dream about rocket ships or, say, the geysers at Yellow Stone Park?

Making fun of men justifying wearing pantyhose is one thing, being homo-phobic is another.

LOL Russ. :D

When someone says i love you, or queer, I don't honestly think of gay men. I think instead that they think its stupid. I have no problem with gay men/women, so maybe thats why I don't associate those words with them? And as for people that are bigoted against gay people, I find them to be uneducated, no matter how many books they have read. Education is not all about what you learn in school. If everyone were straight in this world, it would be a pretty boring place. Some of the coolest stuff in the world comes from gay people, art, buildings, etc. Some of the best comedians are gay, and they are funny because they draw on their life experiences. All in all, I just tend to like people, no matter who they crawl into bed next to at night. ;)

I just think it's funny seeing "hetero" guys being really uncomfortable or downright scared sh!tless when in the presence of gays.. Guys can claim that they're extremely heterosexual, but the second they show a fear of a gay man proves that they have something to hide. I worked with a whole bunch of gay guys at my last job; they hit on me all the time and everything. Didn't bother me in the least b/c I *know* what my sexual preference is and made it clear to them that they're not getting any from me. :)

Oh, and for the record, I'd call a couple of them "queen" or something to their face and they really didn't care. They'd call each other fags too which was an absolute riot.

*edit*

I agree completely w/ GirlFriday. Showing fear or hatred of gays is showing lack of education. Gay guys aren't overtly sexual pedophile rapists like some seem to think. Are you people who are afraid of gays afraid of Black people too 'cos they're incarnations of the Devil? Do you also duck for cover when you see an Arab? I wouldn't doubt it.

I'm guilty of using 'gay' in place of bad also. Its a habit thats hard to break I guess. I have no problems with gay people. I just would rather not see any PDA.

<<Those who are truly secure in their sexuality don't need to proclaim to the world that they are "the most heterosexual man on earth". Do you dream about rocket ships or, say, the geysers at Yellow Stone Park?>>

While you are probably correct that I didn't "need" to proclaim my blisteringly extreme (almost to the olympic level) hetero-ness, nobody "needs" to post anything on atot. I posted this statement simply because it is something to say- and it went along with the statement I was trying to make about how I cannot identify with homos.

However, I find it interesting that you are trying to question my heterosexuality. While you are not doing a very good job, granted this is due to the fact that you do not know me very well and therefore do not have very many stones to throw at me, I must wonder what your motive is.

Are you simply doing this for conversation, or do I turn you on in some way, and you wish to see if you stand a chance of perhaps meeting me for some out of atot meeting?

If the 2nd possibility I offered is the case, then I must go ahead and stop you right where you are, and tell you that you have the wrong idea about me.
