yea, i hear you. i've had a x800 xt on order for over a month, but just recently they charged my card. that gave me hope it would ship soon.

i've been so close to cancelling and getting the gt...we'll see. i don't think you'll regret it though.

I'm thinking about doing that too....but it seems like such a waste to buy the GT for very close to the same price as the gateway XT deal.

But I'm going on a business trip all next week so even if the card ships today, I wouldn't get to play with it much (if at all) before july 17th.

So I figure I'll give gateway until monday the 19th to ship my card. If I don't have it by then, I'll go with the 6800 GT. As much as I hate to admit it, they have us by the balls with their "deal" but I can only withstand so much bullshit.

Something tells me that it won't matter what next-gen card you get, you'll be happy with it :) GL!

First from compusa the X800 XT PE was availible june 27th.... then july 8th, then july 18th.....
It happens ya know....
Well now its not even on their website. I have some giftcards toward bestbuy so my x800xt should cost me 400$ even. I just wish the wait was over... so many delayed games, delayed cards.
Whats a guy to do!

I just bought an x800xt PE from NewEgg's Refubished cards for $440.00 delivered. So I hope I won't regret it. I could not pass up for the price. A one year warranty.

Woot!!!

Amazing the vaporware relased by both camps this round. We are coming up on the fall refresh in 8-10 weeks and we havent even seen the Spring lineup yet.

Yes the x800xt is the non-existent joke. At least the 6800's appear to be available.

Cancelled my x800xt order today and got a 6800GT as well. It seems to hang with the $500 cards pretty well and gives the x800 pro a decent beating so I'm sure I'll be more than happy with it.

Well I got my 6800GT from eVGA today. My 3dmark2003 score went from 4220 (on a 9600pro) to 12447. It OC'd to ultra speeds 400/1100 no sweat. So far, I'm happy ;)

I think I've finally settled on 415/1130 for a stable overclock.

3DMark03 is 12860 (at stock levels 350/1000 my score was 11318)
3DMark01 is 24952
AquaMark Triscore is 70024
PCMark04 is 4873

This card has been amazing so far. I've got a 21" monitor so I play everything at 1600x1200 and every game (FarCry, UT2004, etc) has been smooth as silk with 4xAA & 8xAF.

BTW, I have seen a few comments about the 2D quality of these cards on this board. Let me tell you, don't listen to that crap. I have had a Matrox G450, BBA Radeon 8500 and BBA Radeon 9600pro and the eVGA 6800GT is just as good as they are at 2D. My 21" is a flat screen trinitron which is crystal clear. And I see no difference at all with the eVGA.
