what a game. the kicker certainly did redeem himself for missing that last PAT.

That was a BS call by the ref to call a personal foul on UF when it was the Vol guy that hit first, AND the ref was looking right at them. Should have been offsetting. Instead the Vols got a free 15 yards.

That was a horrible penalty by the ref. The replay shows him witnessing both players slapping each other's helmets yet he only calls the penalty on florida. I'm not a fan of either team but I feel the vols got a gift there.

The penalty was garbage. It should've been ignored or offsetting. Oh, and it stopped the clock as well as gave the Vols another 15 yards. Let's see, a questionable interference call sustaining a make-or-break drive, the WR clearly down before the goal line on the last TD, and then the garbage 15 yard penalty. Sure looked fixed to me.

That said, Ron Zook and his moronic coaching staff should shoulder 99% of the blame. Charlie Strong let a freshman complete long 3rd and 4th down passes with soft coverage and no pass rush whatsoever. And those 3 running plays up the middle - real creative. The UT defense didn't see that coming - oh wait, yeah they did.

I hope UF gets their crap straight and seeks out Spurrier or a qualified replacement for Zook. This 8-5 crap is getting old... :disgust: :|

UT didn't own anyone. The stupid ass officials did, and I say that as an Auburn fan who loathes Florida.

I'm sorry...the winning thing was....that's right a 50 yard field goal. I think we won, not the officials. :)

It was a nice kick, but you fail to see the point. Had there not been that stupid call bringing you 15 free yards closer to MAKE that kick, AND 4 extra downs, it might have been a 60+ yard field goal attempt. I'm not a fan of UF either, but I don't like to see refs totally steal for one team over the other. It was too blatant. Bring instant replay to college football I say-- less likely biased refs will pull this kinda poo.

Or Ainge could have thrown for a TD run, or a 1st down, or 20 extra yards and a 40 yard FG attempt, or... do ya see my point here. There's a bunch of variabilities, but what really happened was we won. Call foul play, call rigged game, I don't care. UT beat Florida, the parties were off the hook due to that, and the girls were all happy as hell. :)

I agree, many possibilities, but a bad call is a bad call. That's why I say bring on instant replay.

worst officiating call I've EVER seen in college football..
the ref did the one thing that refs are hired not to do, and that's display clear bias... CLEAR BIAS.. unbelievable..
now i'm no florida fan, i'm a miami fan.. and i don't like tenn either.. but fla just got ripped off on that personal foul call.. i could not believe the call that ref made..

i mean, normally you can say, well the ref only saw this, or only saw that.. but there is NO WAY that the ref did not see BOTH of the personal fouls... he should have called two penalties which would have canceled each other out or called none.. but what he did was just plain ridiculous and biased, and he should get fired for it... he (amongst other things) cost florida the game...

It was clearly the right call. The UT player simply shoved the FL player in the face mask. This type thing happens all the time without a penalty. The problem was that the FL player retaliated with a blow to the side of the head. Had he just shoved the UT player back, there would not have been a penalty. You can shove someone without getting a penalty, but anytime you slap someone upside the head you will get called.

Also, as was stated earlier, how can you say that UT would not have still gotten within FG range and hit a game winner.

clearly the right call? no, you are not allowed to shove an opponent in the face mask.. it doesnt matter who hit who harder, thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard.. they were both penalties and should have been called both ways...
ut would not have gotten w/in fg range for many reasons.. the penalty stopped the clock, lost a down, and gave tn 15 extra yeards

No one can say what would have happened, because no one is a fortune teller. What I can tell you it UT won, and you have to live with it now.

Amen ... I could rant but why. It's obvious that ref was PAID OFF.

FL fans can bitch all they want, but this call was no way as bad as the phantom catch Gaffney made to beat UT.

I can tell you that the Vols would've started with <30secs vice 50+ left if the clock would've been run correctly. That sir, is a fact - no fortune.

The Gators' season is over. Miami is gonna kill em, I don't know about FSU. Fvck the refs, blame Zook.
