When it comes down to it, is Gatorade (and otehr Sports Drinks) better to rehydrate and replace stuff in your system then water?

Faster?

This is assuming you're doing something physical, like running, lifting, or in my case, playing Lacrosse, not sitting on your couch

AN article on the NYTIMES sites today said it is more corrosive to your teeth than coke or redbull, but not coke + red bull....

If you aren't excreting the stuff by the gallon like a pro athelete, I bet it does nothing but make for tasty h20

yes ... but as is, it's extremely concentrated. You're better off diluting it with water to 1/2 or 1/4 concentration.

When I cycle, and I want to go for 2+ hours, something about it helps give me a second wind that water alone doesn't give.

edit: plus i recommend that people who are sick and need to hydrate themselves a lot should drink diluted gatorade/sport drink since it gives you some electrolytes as well.

Ouch, Kidney Stones are not fun

Yes, I do try to dilute it
I usually use the powdered mix though, so I just put less in

It's usually 3/4 regular strength Gatorade (as I dislike the watery flavor)

Damn. I buy those gallon jugs of Gatorade at the supermarket and fill a sports bottle for the gym almost every day.

Guess I should switch to water...

I can't drink Gatorade. It bothers my stomach especially when exercising. I use Cytomax personally.
