Gator suing those who label it "spyware"

i hate this sh!t...all my clients computers have it
it slows down the machine
and pops up a lot of sh!t
 
Gator can call it whatever the hell they want for all I care, so long as they don't start suing companies that have tools for removing their "adware".

Woah - they didn't actually win a lawsuit - they just scared someone into settling. Even so, this is not good news. They are saying that their products do not meet the definition of spyware, but are adware instead. The only problem is that they are the ones providing the definition....

Anway, whether they are spyware or adware or just plain crapware, they are still makers of crappy, irritating, deceptive and evil programs. and will be first against the wall, come the revolution 😉

Hopefully, them winning that lawsuit doesn't set a dangerous precedent.

Anyone want to join in a Class Action lawsuit for Gator stealing out MeGaHurTz? Also to sue for LIBEL in that is said it would "Enhance" browsing the internet.
Im sick of removing that sh!% off of nearly 100 computers here at work. Then again maybe they are right.....Gator isn't Spyware....its absolute Abhorent SH!%!!

Yeah.....but if Gator goes around doing this and getting settlements and breaking down companies like that....then there won't be Adaware or Spybot software anymore.

On a different note, they are the sole reason, assuming GAIN is a part of gator that i have to download that damn spybot and adaware.....
 
So, is it like Candyman, where if you say Spyware 3 times, some balding lawyer appears and hands you a subpeona?? Or does the RIAA have that locked down too??.
