I have seen this. Decent deal for those not building their own systems. You can lower that price by not getting a monitor. You can get a P4 1800 without a monitor, 20GB drive, 16x CD-RW, etc. for ~$950 also. Not bad.

Reasonable over-all deal for someone not wanting to build their own system.

I DO NOT mean this as a thread crap, but as a legitimate question in general. What is the point of spending up to a 1.4gHz cpu and then having an integrated graphics solution like this has? I know for 3d sake there is no point. Does it make 2d run that much faster? But in 2d is the speed difference discernible?

$1099+$75 for half-way decent graphics card of your choice=$1,174. That's still not terrible if you don't want to build your own.

after january, i was just going to buy an p4 highest-ghz from dell. mainly because i own a dell pIII now and it runs perfectly. if i just want a machine that is fast and stable above everything else, should i not bother putting a system together by myself?
i guess what i'm asking is -- those of you who built your mean systems from the ground up, do you have constant crashes/compatibility probs/etc. ?
