Gateway sb deluxe 1000, what type of MOBO?

when GW was selling the Classic Athlons using an AMD chipset the board was made by Jabil
now they use Thunderbird chips with VIA chipsets, not to sure if Jabil still makes the board

give me a few days & I can tell you for sure

Thanks! I've no idea. any help you can offer would be great. Sure beats pulling up mobo mfgs on the net and comparing pics.

All I really know right now is it uses American Megatrends BIOS.

fire off an Email to Gateway, they should be glad to answer your questions

although six years ago I asked the sales guy on the phone what chipset the motherboard of one computer was using and I think I lost him when I mentioned the word "motherboard" but that's another story... lol

sorry for the long wait

the skinny I got is that the current AMD boards by Gateway are mostly MSI & a very small amout are still Jabil (not to sure on what you will get)

both boards features:
VIA KT133 chip set
UATA 33/66 support
Three memory slots supporting a combined maximum of 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of synchronous dynamic RAM (SDRAM)
Five PCI slots supporting 3.3-volt (V) to 5-V PCI version 2.2 bus interface
200-megahertz (MHz) front bus speed (speed of motherboard)
133-MHz host bus speed (speed the I/O controller communicates with the processor)
Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) support (Power Management support)
Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) 1X, 2X, or 4X support
PCI version 2.2

need any more info? hope this helps & wasn't that late
