 Is there a Dell Notebook that is comparable in quality, quantity, and price as the Gateway MX 7525?

Im not familar with the MX7525...but...Dell is equal to or better in ever aspect to a Gateway...on a like model comparison basis.

Ok..i took the time to research that model.

That Gateway runs a AMD 4000+ proc...Dell does not market AMD systems either in desktop or laptop models. Somewhat of a odd pairing of hardware on tht laptop in that the AMD 4000+ is probably the fastest speed rated (not saying its the fastest in operation) mobile processor on the market and they have paired it with a somewhat sickly ATI X600 graphics solution and a 4200 rpm hd is a pig. If you are buying this laptop on the expectation that you are getting a screamer...I think you will be somewhat dissapointed. May I ask how much you are going to pay for this? Its all in the $$...price for performance.

Thanks chillie.

This laptop is going to be used for Business Apps. then high speed internet my husband on the other hand will use it for games and we both will use it for movies.

we really would like to keep this thing well into the furure.

The scroll pad is important to me only because I never own a laptop and I am afraid I will get one that I am unhappy with.

Many people forget that their virus protection is only good for 90 days. Time goes by so fast when they are having 'fun' on their new 'toys'.

This is the time I'll get their laptops to remove trojans and the like, minimum repair $200.

Don't wait. Get a 1yr Anti-virus subscription and put a label on your computer for renewal. This will save you a lot of headaches. You can take the aspirin now or later, your choice.

Just use a free scanner like AVG. It's faster too I think.

As for getting an even better deal on the e1505, get a 40% off 1500 coupon and you can get a really decked out system for $900.
