noone appears to have the Visiontek 4400 in stock.. I doubt that a single card has been manufactured other than for preliminary testing... they are probably swamped with 4600 demand.

a few guys got the PNY4400 at some of the larger retailers.

anyone talk to these people today? EBWorld is supposed to have the 4400s in stock today and the 4600s were on store shelves last week.

Video & Sound: PNY Technologies GeForce4 TI4400 128MB AGP Video Card
circuitcity.com has these in stock for $299.99. All three stores by me had them in stock.

I'm still gonna wait for gateway. I just breathed some new air so I won't suffocate.

Hey, I have received my Monitor which was backordered with the $50 coupon then cancelled. Hopefully they will send your GF4 cards too.

The monitor I had ordered was the Viewsonic 90FB, flat, black... $219 shipped. Not the cheapest Flat monitor I could find, but the cheapest Flat and black monitor I could find. I had ordered it Feb 23, Originally back ordered till 2/22? Then 3/1, then cancelled, then 3/15.

It actually shipped on 3/12, and arrived 3/15

Hey guys! I got mine from Gateway today! At 11AM EST!!! :) :) :) Thanks!!! It's an Geforce4 Ti4400. However, it still says backordered on my account on gateway.com. Very weird. :)

It was shipped via UPS Ground from New Jersey. Since I am in NY, it would still be next day shipping no matter what :) I would assume it was shipped out sometime last night.

I thought that they had agreed to upgrade everyone to next day shipping... that's still cool... if they shipped it on Thursday then I could hope to have one by Wednesday of next week... I was probably in the first 100 to have their order re-instated.

Was that confirmed by a manager at Gateway? That would be difficult for them to do with over 1500 original orders... they might even say that they are doing that, but then shipping them by re-instated order anyway.

I got my 4400 too! It was sitting on my desk after I got back from lunch. It was delivered by UPS around 9:30am, but our mail people here at work don't give out the mail till the afternoon. I work in central NJ and it was delivered from Swedesboro, NJ (wherever that is).

You guys that are getting your cards, it would be helpful for those of us waiting to know

1) When you originally placed your order.
2) When you placed your order to have it re-instated.

Thanks!

ya, the initial batches could literally be that small... that's why I'm very interested in when people ordered ... both the initial first order as well as the re-order after the big fubar.

it could take them 4 weeks to fill 1000 orders... maybe longer. I am curious if they are filling them from the original orders or the re-orders.

I don't mind waiting a couple more weeks, but if it got longer than that I would probably be forced to cancel my order and get one elsewhere (I need the new card so I can put my GF3 in my brothers computer, which he will be sending to me in about 10 days).

ok gunf1ghter:

1) original order placed on 02/22/02 around 9:00pm est.

2) reinstated order by phone in the am on 03/06 or 03/07. It was the morning after the original order cancellation, after I got through reading this thread.

Also, I like this description from the back of the box about the Accuview Antialiasing Engine:

"Jaggies gone forever! This is balls to the walls high-resolution, high-performance visual quality at ferocious frame rates. Take a deep breath and grab some air, it doesn't get any clearer than this."

ok, it sounds like they probably are re-instating based on when your original order was placed... this will put me fairly low in the priority queue (original order was placed on Feb 26th I believe, and my re-order didn't get re-instated until the morning after they started taking them again).

For a Ti4400:

1st Order: Feb 27th
2nd Order: Mar 6th

Card arrived today. Order status on the site is still "product backordered".

Thanks for the deal, people!

Rob.

They are basing off of the time when You reinstated your order, which is COMPLETELY WRONG. I ordered on the 21st of feb, and had my order reinstated on the 12th. I specifically asked to be placed in queue according to the original order. Obviously they didnt do this.
This message was in the email they sent me after reinstating the order: We currently have about 30 backorders for this card. Your order is within that group.
I should have gotten a card, because I ordered almost a week before the previous two posters. Ironically the UPS truck just drove by. Im calling gateway right now.

I'm sure that you will be one of many angry customers calling them that you were not in the initial group.

Honestly though, I don't know of any vendor that has done this sort of re-instatement and been able to correctly base it off of the original order numbers.
