I don't think they're going off order #'s. My new order # which I called for on 3/6 was xxxx97011 and I should have my ti4400 tomorrow according to the UPS tracking #.

well, since all the order numbers end in 011, and there might have been hundreds of orders, maybe we have to look at more digits? mines is xxx422011 and was reinstated 3/6. order status says product shipped.

Got mine yesterday, dropped it in, it fits in my EPOX 8KHA+ board (yes!!), got 9425 on 3DMark2001 SE, runs everything sweet. It'll run 95 fps (vsync limited) solid on MOHAA with the detail settings COMPLETELY maxed at 1024x768. Nice.

"maybe we have to look at more digits"

I believe your right. I had #***5**011 and got mine yesterday. A friend had #***8**011 (waited a day longer) and is still on backorder.

I doubt the final digits mean much of anything.

If "mrbass" reordered and received a 97011 number and his has shipped; and if I reordered and received a 97011 number and mine has not shipped, then the attempts to analyze by the final numbers is flawed. More likely it has to do with the beginning numbers, not the end numbers.

<< For the people who have received their Ti 4400s, how do you like them? Is the 2d image quality good? How far can you overclock them? I should be getting mine tomorrow and I'm very curious how they overclock. I wish there were some reviews on the Visiontek Ti 4400. Oh, and if you could shoot me some benchmark scores like 3dmark2001se or Quake 3 demo scores. Thanks. >>

I like mine a lot. The 2D image quality is better than the GF3's, and as good as my 8500's was until I hit 1600x1200. Then it's just a little bit fuzzier, but still good on a 19" Sony G400. Mine is overclocked to 285/650 with no problems. As soon as I apply some Arctic Silver 2 under the hsf, I'll hopefully hit 300 on the core. I'm also going to install some ramsinks, but I doubt they'll do much to improve the memory o/c. At default speeds on my XP1700+, I scored 9564. With my current overclock, I get 9851, which is pretty close to my default score I had with my Ti4600 here.
These are with everything set to "best quality" in the drivers, and using WinXP.
I haven't benched Q3 with it, but I can tell you that it's VERY smooth at 1280x1024x32 with everything maxxed out, which is how I play online with it. I would comment on aniso and FSAA, but I haven't really played around with those yet.

After seeing all the new messages on this topic I figured I'd check on my order. The Gateway store says that my order has shipped! I reordered on 3/6/02 and my order # is xxx448011. The total was $234.95 which is without tax compared to the original yes? I thought my original order was in the high $240s (I am in CA).

Also I'm really glad to hear that these cards fit on the Epox 8kha+ boards. :)

The card hasn't arrived yet but I'll update when it does.

Gaidin

Update: Mine arrived Friday 3/29, no signature required. Installs into the Epox 8kha+ board. The capacitors are very close to each other but they're not touching. Haven't even benched, oc'd, or played any games yet. The card is huge! It's easily twice the size of my GF2MX. :)

Ok got my ti4400 today at 2:16pm PST time. Yeah it took awhile but I blame the ENTIRE delay not on Gateway nor VisionTek but on Epox. Those @#%@^ didn't follow specs so they (Vistiontek) didn't want massive returns which would cost them time and money. Now you hear reports from Epox owners saying their geforce4 ti fit just fine. I'm not saying don't buy Epox mobos just saying if we want to throw our anger/frustation I myself aim it squarely at Epox.:p

I blame my delay on UPS. The darn card shipped out from NJ on the 21st. Scheduled for delivery yesterday the 27th... no deliver, called UPS, delivery is pushed back a day. Check the tracking today, says "out for delivery on truck"... still no delivery at 5:30pm.

Freakin UPS

Anyone notice on the Xtasy GeForce4 Ti 4400 box that it says on the side it says
"Package Contains
...
Cyberlink PowerDVD
CyberlinkPowerDirector"

I want that PowerDirector. It's $189 for the pro version. I know on the website it says it isn't included but I might say I bought it under the assumption I saw it on the box and was under the impression I'd get it.

ti4600
ti4400

also on that xtasy cd they had demos which had the date 3/14/02. Toystory and something else. So perhaps the cd wasn't even mastered till 3/15 or so. Makes ya wonder.

ummmm.... let it go dude... you aren't going to get it.

the most they are going to do is offer to give you your money back for the card.

Please don't turn into a wounded monitor child.

I reordered on 3/8. It arrived on 4/1 but sat in in the apartment office for two days since Fed-ex didn't put a notice on my door. It has better 2D than the Visiontek Geforce 3 that it replaced. The only problem was it wouldn't work at 1600x1024 on my SGI 1600SW (Wrapping to the right). I had to run at a lower resolution 1280x1024 to get it not to wrap. (Sigh). At least I'm running DVI now.
