I'm looking at this for a friend.
Her display was working fine then one time she turned it on and got this "white" screen.
No display, but just the backlights are on. I can turn up and down the brightness and the screen gets dimmer or brighter, but I can't see the video/display.
I hooked it up to a monitor and it works fine.
I read about alot of inverter issues on these models (Gateway M520, Emachine M2350, etc), but if the backlight is on and has been working fine (no flickering) then I wouldn't think it's the inverter, correct?

Nope. It did look a little crooked. But I snapped it fully in place and it didn't make a difference.
I assume it's a bad panel, but I could be wrong.
With the price of a panel (or a system board), maybe I should just use it as a small "desktop" since a new low end notebook wouldn't be much more. :(
