Gateway Laptop screen problem - please help

I bought a 4025GZ from OD a few month ago.

I worked fine until last night. The monitor just wont work. If I use the VGA connector, it works fine.

Is it a bad panel/backlight?

So the LCD stopped working and then tried connecting a VGA and the VGA works? Or did you connect a VGA and then after the LCD won't work anymore?
