gateway fpd2185w not working correctly

I use the monitor with my 700m and it used to go into native resolution (1680x1050) but now when i plug the monitor into any computer now it wont detect the DDC or whatever signal (used powerstrip and it doesn't detect anything) so basically i have no PnP

i did plug it into my friends computer, i was able to use the ATi catalyst to adjust the max resolution and get it into 1680x1050 but with my intergrated intel software im not able to get into the right resolution, barely any of which are widescreen and nothing really watchable..

any ideas????

Not every graphics card has every possible resolution! I am not sure if you can get that resolution from an integrated graphics card.

I have a 7900GT and that same monitor. 1680 x 1050 is the highest resolution that 7900GT offers.

YES I can get this resolution, i have in the past, please dont treat me like an idiot. I ran the monitor just fine on this pc in native resolution in the past, now i am not able to, and the computer cant read the information the monitor is supposed to be sending to it... and that's how it is on every computer i hook it up to now, my friends 9800 was able to force it using certain software

but i mentioned all of this in my previous post.
