Gateway computer upgrade, is it possible?

I have a Gateway G6-266 with a mid tower case, 200w power supply, 64mb ram, Win98. My question is can I upgrade the processor in this computer? If so, how high can I go? Ram is easy enough. I don't really want to change the Motherboard but may consider it. The primary cosideration here is cost. This computer is only used for Quicken, etc. My paperwork says the motherboard is made by ANDOVER (model 4000274) and the BIOS is American Megatrends. I need help getting in the right direction.
Thanks in advance,
Phil

look on the motherboard to see if there are multiplier jumpers and/or fsb jumpers. the pII 266 cpus use a 66mhz bus speed. i think the next pII cpu uses a 100mhz bus speed. if u can find those jumpers, see if they are adjustable to a higher setting. if not, there is a slim chance these settings are in the bios.
