See.. this is the funny part, to me.

I will gladly debate, honest arguments. But I really can't stand the overstated remarks about how Macs are overpriced... their OS should be widely available like Windows... the elitist Apple attitude, etc... ad infinitum.

If you want to come in and debate that the commercial is good/bad/whatever, great... but why do crossplatform posts always have to bring up these arguments that aren't really even relevant anymore, or they've been stated so many times... there's not even a point in debate?

I just get tired of it. I primarily use OS X, but I also use Windows XP, Vista, and occasionally Windows Server. I like OS X a lot, but I realize that there is a balance. I realize that some people just REALLY like Windows, and in turn people need to realize that there are some people who REALLY like OS X.

I just wish there was less bashing of Apple/Microsoft, etc... but I do indeed enjoy a "GOOD" jab at both parties every once in a while. The Vista bashing is getting a bit old to me, as I don't find it worse than XP anymore, personally.

Anyway... this topic has been completely derailed. Sorry Kaido.

Forget it, I think CKent just wants to hear that he's right about everything. So there: CKent, you are right about everything, we Mac users enjoy feeling elitist and loving those 200% markup on hardware. OSX is so closed source and it should be widely available.

Now can you please troll somewhere else? I don't understand why some people get so worked up about hating Apple that they'd leave their usual habitat (like OT) to come ll the way over here to bash.

I don't really think it's any of those. It's related to the Mac commercials - Mac bashes PC, now PC bashes Mac (well...not the first commercial at least, lol). Mac users have a friendly banter with PC users. There are very few of us who don't also use Windows machines at home or at work, or both.

I think you guys are blowing things out of proportion. My goal of the post was to share the Mac-related commercial and then point out how it didn't make a lot of sense. Mac bashes PC in the Apple commercials, Seinfeld helps Gates buy shoes in the Microsoft commercials. I think it's funny that the commercial doesn't make any sense, but I understand that they're building a relationship with customers. There's no need to bash people in this thread, it's just a simple thread about a commercial
