Is there any kind of application that will take my mp3 collection and convert it to wma *WHILE* it is x-fering to my Rio? That way I don't have to convert my stuff, and then upload the wma's...?

-or-

What is the best software to convert mp3 to wma? I currently have 320mb of storage, but I would really like to get more songs on there. I only listen to it while I work out, so quality isnt really an issue. (on the player that is)

Windows Media Player. Converted MP3 to WMA on the fly and transferred to my Rio. I forget where I downloaded the drivers from, but probably SonicBlue.com?

i Do the same thing...WMP has an option for it. I got the drivers through the more supported devices link in WMP.

every time you convert lossy file formats, the quality gets worse.

so it would be better to just re-rip from the CD's directly to .wma

Windows media encoder 9

It is free on windows update and does the job as well as any encoder could.

Have been doing that lately.

Same reason as you since my Ipad only has as much storage as the SD card, I want to keep the size small in order to put in more.

IMO try to get mp3 versions of the songs because the quality will really blow if you convert them since both are lossy.
