We are loaded with a Country full of the SUV vehicles even bigger than the Range Rover V8's.

I wouldn't be surprised if the weight of the GM Cadillac Escalade is twice the weight of a Range Rover and nearly twice the size.

So you live in the UK and don't have a reason why your prices have gone up proportionately with the Oil increases and yet no increase in demand or problem with supply???

Interesting, waits for the P&N Elite Rich experts to show the reasoning of how this is possible and yet the U.S. has not seen it's Gas prices go up with the Oil proportionatley yet we are the ones increasing demand with more and more Monster SUV's/

Where does one check the world supply/demand and usage stat's? I would like to seem them.

As a farmer I know they keep track of grain stocks and one of the stat's they keep is the amount of grain stockpiled in the numbers fo days that it would last. It is a constantly changing figure doe to harvest continually going on all over the world.

When that number would get historically low, you used to be able to count on better prices and usually some big spikes in the prices. I've noticed that nowadays it can get quite low and sometimes it affects the market significantly and sometimes it doesn't. It appears it is a function of how much press it happens to be getting.

As oil is a commodity I think the same thing is true and it sure is getting a lot of press. Even if they don't talk about oil, the latest news form Iraq is constanly coming in. IMO, it has to be affecting the price rahter significantly.

I also think we have to consider that since we are so deeply involved in that part of the world right now that we can't afford to take actions we normally could against OPEC. We need all the support we can get from them right now. Just a coincidence or part of a master plan? You decide.

I think it's because OPEC laughs at you for driving on the wrong side of the road!!

probobly about the same...since iraqi oil production has not been a major factor in oil prices for about 12 years now.

We didn't seem to care they was starving for 12 years now. Why didn't we kick Saddam's a$$ 12 years ago and end the suffering?

We knew almost right away that the food wasn't getting to the people. WHy didn't we take action then? Maybe it was because we were too busy worrying about Clinton's sex life? Why all of a sudden are you taking the high ground now?? Are hteir other places in the world where people are starving that we need to invade? I guess since they don't have huge oil reserves or can't afford to pay for it that we don't care? Puhleese.

It's not like we've been so involved with the UN anyway, maybe we should be? As a member of the UN we also have to shoulder some responsiblility for letting that happen. What took us so long to figure it out? For that matter what took us so long to figure out Enron (a big Bush supporter), Worldcom, etc.? They are right here in the US.

So now I guess it's our oil companies turn to make some money? For what this war is costing us I guess someone should make something off of it.

Maybe if we reflected on everyhting that's happend the last 4 years we'd come to the conclusion that's it's time for a change in leadership.

I'd guess the wieght of a V8 RR to be about 1800-2200kg ,I don't really know off hand

Re petrol prices ,I don't think its odd that our prices are going up with oil costs (though they instantly put prices up most of the time & thats just them making a fast buck :|) ,but I think it's very odd that yours haven't gone up proportionally with oil prices
