Are prices gonna go up after the holidays as a cheap ploy to allow ppl to shop till they drop during the holidays and then pay through the *** afterwards? :|

No. George Bush, Dick Cheney, and the oil company CEOs are going to come directly to your door, beat the living crap out of you, and take your money instead.

I hear though that if you have a Hummer, or more than 2 SUV's, they'll skip over you and beat a minority and/or hippie neighbor of yours twice instead.

Yeah, because the gas stations and oil companies really care how much you spend on Christmas presents.

The logic here is beyond you it seems. If ppl are constrained by gas they will not go shopping to the fancy malls 50 mi. away and hence end up spending less on holiday presents. The gov't can't allow that because it's huge tax rev.

Oh yes - big government lowers gas prices to make more money in the end! YES!! perfect logic there.

Anyone need some extra tin foil hats? I think Casio is wearing 10 of them.

I took enough to learn that nothing is predictable anymore. CNN 'Harvard grads'' said exactly what I just told you? You do not pass 'Go'. Do not collect $200...

Much more money in the end. You are probably one of thsoe ppl who don't think 9/11 caused real estate prices to quadruple.

Obviously, you missed the part where it says that the market sets prices...not the government.

Take your tinfoil hat off, our government does not control the price of gasoline.
