Exxon's CEO wanted to buy a cruise liner. Also, election time is drawing near. That incumbent re-election money has to come from somewhere!

that is so weird you said that... it actually went down in waterford/white lake/pontiac from earlier today.
i just paid 2.72

i scared to go the pump anymore...last time i got it for 3.34 for the cheap stuff...in 2001 when i got my car, if i had to fill it up from the point when the light was on for a while it would cost me ~$21...2 days ago it cost me $41...booo

I'll check on my bike ride home and see what it's selling for around here. I remember seeing it around $3.50/gallon for regular unleaded a couple days ago.

It's still $3.10 to $3.20 near me. We never fell below $3.00 like a lot of places did. It may just be the gas station owners getting in on the profits.

Why? Because they can, and there's nothing we can do about it. Gas is about $3.10 where I live, but I just cross the bridge in Washington's Crossing to New Jersey  and its $2.92...

I paid $2.60 a gallon at wally world. Go inside and get a gift card (or use the one you got for christmas) and put money to it. Then go to wally world pump and because you used the card will get an aditional .03 cents off per gallon 😀😀😀😀
All the other suckers paid $2.63 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Right after 9/11 this Shell station across the street raised their price to $2. I can't remember what gas was at the time but it was in the low $1's if I remember correctly. The community got pissed at them for trying to price gouge us and they ended up closing that station within weeks. To this day I don't think there is a station there. It's just fenced off land.

Today, only 5 years later, I'd be thrilled to pay $2.

Its because of the letter sent to Bush by the president of Iraq. Seriously. This letter sparked fears among analysts and investors that the US presence in the middle east will be far more protracted and may possibly include military action against Iran.

you mean the president of iran?
