why is has so much more expensive in CA vs other parts of the country? Is it tax or G(r)ay Davis's ( :disgust: ) fault?

According to this thread, California (at least south california) is among the most expensive places. Anyone knows the reason? (living expenses in Los Angeles is high, but it's not the highest among the country......What's the gas price in Manhattan?)

that way, we have less dumb drivers on the road and less air polution.

Less dumb drivers? That's debatable...just because you're not rich doesn't mean you're not intelligent.

rich? lmao. $2 - $3 a gallon is still nothing... well maybe if you drive a big-ass SUV. Still, it makes a difference of what, 10 - 20 bucks a week?

Why the hell is it still $1.59 (at Sheetz in Prince William Co.) and $1.73 (Exxon in Fairfax Co.)?? One would think that Blacksburg is a bit harder to get to and not near the main gas supply line like NoVA is ... and still, we pay $.10 - $.24 a gallon more for the same gas. I guess the county taxes on petro might be less for that area.
