He had a printed receipt...

When Zamora returned to the Conoco gas station, he said, the attendant would not believe him until he showed her the printout of the PayPal receipt.

Msnbc story must be incorrect if he had a printed receipt to show to people.

Sounds like Paypal is trying to cover up a very embarrassing story. I'd like to hear more

A couple things here. A gas station only requests authorizartion for $1 when you first put your card in the pump. Once that authorization is granted, the merchants can process up to $75 (For most card, some vary).

Here is the other thing any merchant, anywhere, anytime can push through a transaction without proper authorization. It happens alll the time on card #s that dont even exist or old expired cards. The banks just take care of this on the back end and take the money back with a chargeback.

Last thing, even if the person doesn't have a receipt, anything over $75 can automatically be chargedback without a copy of the receipt.

Still, we have no idea where the problems lies. At the gas station or if it is on the paypal side of it, which wouldnt suprise me.

Now it makes complete sense once I saw the MSNBC story, allll paypal. Next time I will read first lol yeah right.
