Oh, and I drive a 03 Intrepid. Get's about 24 to 26 mpg average. Wife drives a Durango, but doesn't drive much. It get's #$@#$@##$ mpg! :Q

Just bought a Ford Focus, glad I did. I was going to go for something with another 6 cylinder in it like my 00 Intrepid, but it was getting kinda expensive on gas, about $220 a month.

But gas is killing me with the 30 miles commute to work each way.

You could afford a Lexus IS300 (I know it's the low end Lexus, but much more than many other compact cars) and can't afford the gas? 😕

After New Orleans is wiped by Katrina, prices will go even higher.

Yip Crude futrues are already up $4.00 a barrell for monday.

Sadly, pure greed as the price was already too high...far too high...on speculation anyway. *sigh*

Civic. Probably spent about $3000 on gas in the last 12 months, but my 150 mile round trip commute will become a 8 mile round trip in 2 weeks. 🙂

A 4cyl Camry, i get ~30miles per gallon. I drive my car for business so I expense my milage, haha I make a decent amount of money from this.

Yes, you do have the right to b!tch about it.

But don't expect anyone to feel sorry for you.

The people that are hurt the most by the increasing energy prices are those on low incomes and fixed budgets (read: mainly disabled and elderly). As well as the working man/woman who has a long commute. The big earners like yourself don't have anything to worry about.

I'm fortunate to be able to afford all the gas I can burn too, but, remember, not everyone is so fortunate.
