man what a terrible time he had. being used like a slave by his parents. going bankrupt after gaining freedom from them. sad indeed. rip mr coleman. you deserved far better.
 
I wonder what Avenue Q will do now (Broadway show satirizing Sesame Street). The character Gary Coleman and his shitty life were hilarious bits.

Regardless, his era as a butt-of-a-joke timepiece this decade is probably best portrayed in this Youtube video. In the 1980s, he put out a song with an MC Hammer-lite sort of performer named Dion Mial. The song is a western-themed rap called “The Outlaw and the Indian,” because the world clearly needed that to exist, and it is Today’s Soundtrack.

He visited my store a couple or so times and bought a stack or two of games at a time (Atari ST). By a stack, I mean two-three foot tall stack, of games. Pretty much everything I had on the shelf. Carried a lizard with him (Iguana) on his shoulder.
