Not to thread crap but you can also get this for $199.99 here., especially if you do not have Costco membership yet.

$198.76 at Sam's Club + $6.81 shipping (for my zipcode based on their estimated shipping calculator).

Sam's return policy is as good as Costco's now.
If you don't have a Sam's Club membership, go to Walmart and buy a rechargeable Walmart gift card.
Use said gift card to enter Sam's Club.

1.) Yes.
2.) 10% service fee still applies.

It's amazing how fast prices on these things fall. A year ago these GPS units were around $700!

Garmin took the flood the market approach with serveral different products with in each product line. I have lost track...

If I can guess...I think the 265wt has the newer 3d interface, but it lacks bluetooth, traffic, and text to speech.

Stick with the Nuvi 750.

I'm actually leaning towards the 265wt. It has Bluetooth and free for life traffic updates. Reading the reviews on the 750, the FM transmitting feature appears to poor.

I don't care so much about the Bluetooth.
The free for life traffic updates is good, but it's a little overpriced for my liking selling for $278 right now on Amazon.

Which place is selling the Nuvi 265wt for $199 on BF?

The Nuvi 750 has the same exact FM receiver the 760 and 770 has.

Again, I don't care about the Bluetooth.
If Bluetooth is all the difference there is, I wouldn't pay a an extra dime for it.

You also lose out by not buying the product at Costco or Sam's Club.
If there's a problem with my GPS 3 years from now, I can return it anytime I want.

Anyone try the 765T yet? It has a "new interface", but it cost much more. I saw it Best Buy, but the interface looked the same.

how does this compare to the Navigon 7100? One of my coworkers has the Navigon, and it is pretty damn sweet, with free traffic, and it is fully hackable etc.... and only 169 refurb at BB right now...

It's a good thing they fall so fast.
If they didn't, we would have 1/2 as many "Hot Deals" in this forum.

Interface is the same. They just moved stuff around, that's all.

Also, one thing to note...
You can subscribe to free lifetime traffic updates from Garmin with no ads for only $60.

What does that mean?
It means if there's a more than $60 price difference between the Nuvi 750/755, Nuvi 760/765, etc...(you get the idea), then it might not be worth it to upgrade to(buy) the new xx5 series.

In my case, it wasn't worth it to pony up an extra $200 to get the 755(even when you include the new lane assist feature).

Wow, I missed something key here. You're correct. I am wrong.
The Nuvi 750 doesn't come with a traffic receiver in the box.

I discovered this while browsing the user manual.
This unit I ordered will be returned ASAP.

I'll wait till Black Friday to see if any deal pops up for the Nuvi 760.

Yeah, that lane assist is kind of dumb......I mean, last I saw, we are required by law to have vision that can see a stop sign from 10 FT away.

The thing I wanted to know about was that 3d map thing. But thinking about it, that is also kind of dumb.

I am looking for a 760 now for 199

I completely disagree on the bolded. I picked up a 765T ($350 to the door on Amazon) for my wife with 'lane assist' being one of the major features as a reason. f you're in an unfamiliar area I think it's going to be convenient knowing which lane to be in. Keep in mind, there are things like trucks, hills, curves, rain, night time, etc that may make it difficult to see an upcoming exit.

Given identical prices, which is a better choice? 255w or 750?

Ones older and has more features, the other is newer and faster.

Uhg.

And that alone is worth the $100+ price difference?
