Garmin Nuvi 650..... $299 at Costco Online!

If the unit doesn't come w/ newest NT Navigator 2008, you can registered your device w/ garmin and your serial will enable you to get one the update.

But since Nuvi 650 debuted April of 2007, I would think it come w/ NT 2008 version already.
NT Navigator 2008 release on June of 2007!

I ordered just a couple days ago since I wasn't sure I want or even need one. Got a confirmation, then, boom the UPS guy was here just now, it was shipped from Albany, NY to CT. I did even know that Costco has a shipping center in Albany, NY, unless it's a reseller. Pretty sure it's costco.

Timekeeper, you are right I got the 2008 NT Navigator software. No Mapsource disk though. They gave an unlock number but no unlock disk.

Seems like a very nice unit, got the satellites right way and I am going to test it!!!

BTW, "British Daniel" is the BEST TTS selection.
 
For whatever reason, this unit is not supposed to be onsale until November 23, 2007 according to Costco Connection magazine. Costco reps told me that they will get plenty of units in November for the sale at $150 off. What the price will be , they did not say.

Timekeeper, I found British Daniel in the Locale section of the Settings. For the time being I am sticking with American Jill, but I found her to sound like my teacher in grade school.

Justing testing in CT, seems it has my house on it.

Usually BESTBUY and CC has Nuvi 660, NOT 650 on display.
650 is just 660 minus Bluetooth.

I can't decide if the Garmin 650 is worth 2x the price of the TomTom One 3rd edition which will be $125 with $20 GC @ Staples on BF.

I plan on chatting with TimeKeeper this weekend to see what he thinks 😉
 
I was thinking about purchasing one but after the 5% charge for not being a CostCo member, + 6% PA sales tax + shipping fees it wouldn't be that much cheaper then CompUPlus.

Still a really good deal though especially for members, it is still cheaper then all of the places that are selling it on pricegrabber, the cheapest I could find on pricegrabber.com was $366.95 from CompUPlus.

How often do you use it?

I did get the 650 on the first wave...but I end up selling it. (and keeping my 260)
650's volume is lower than 2xx series.
And I really not much fan of huge screen.

TT1? hmm.... If it is $50 I will buy it and give it away as a gift. But I wouldn't keep it, that's for sure.
 
Just received my two (2) 650s from a Costco order placed on the 16th. Took only a day to arrive. Looking forward to replacing my Mio PocketPC GPS that's dying.

I've seen people posting their membership # on public forums. Apparently Costco.com doesn't care whether the number in you online account belongs to you or if it's in dozens of other profiles.
