Anyone got this device? It didnt really come with a book, just a 'quick start guide'. The interface is fairly simple, but when we view images, and hit 'full screen', it just stays thumbnailed size.

I found if I tap in the blank area at the edges of the picture, I get a + and - sign to zoom in and out, but it never keeps that size. I know this is only a secondary feature, but it seems like its nerfed or something...

Anyone have it, or a similar model, or experience with it to lend a hand?

Unfortunately, it will stay in thumb nail format.
Nuvi 2xx series' photo viewer is rather slow. Even if you have your photos in high speed SD card, it is still ..............

That's pretty ridiculous if that's the case... why would you have a 'full screen' button, without the ability to really show it in 'full screen' ?

Well... there isn't any "perfect" GPS for everyone.
It really depends on your priority...
Garmin Nuvi photo viewer is "rediculous" if that is important to you.
TomTom's 100 min battery life is "rediculous" if you want it to be portable.
Harman Kardon GPS500's mp3 is "rediculous" if one assume it is suppose to be the best in sound.

that's why I keep on searching and testing more "entry-level" gps. :)

Honestly, I don't care about a picture viewer on a GPS (this is my dad's unit, and for some reason, he's really disappointed about that). What we did find, which is pretty "ridiculous" is that it appears that the file size has some bearing on how large the thumbnail actually appears. I put a 2mb photo on there and besides taking an eternity to load, the thumbnail was about the proper size, but if you put a 700k picture on there, its quite a bit smaller. That does not make any sense to me.
