too many people have been unjustly and wrongly sentenced to prison, whether from corrupt cops or shoddy evidence, and those are the few we have managed to find out about. Leave it up to the fake pro-life party to not give a fuck if a bunch of not guilty people get put to death.

Could conservatives be more horrible people if they tried? I don't think so. I think it comes naturally to them.

The government re-evaluating criminal cases where the penalty is death is a very bad thing, If you're a conservative shitbag.

For the rest of the entire god damn world where most Americans would feel comfortable living, it's just another day.

Conservative shitbags hate life, and want as many dead Americans as possible. It's just a part of being a conservative shitbag.

It's true. The modern GQP is a majority of evil souls. The Democrats have their loony fringe elements, but it's just that, a fringe, but the majority of the GQP is straight up evil.

These are the kind of people that made up all the most evil groups of people in modern history - from fascism in Europe to dictatorships all over the world throughout history. That just have that type of personality.
 
Can't remember where I saw the anecdote but it boiled down to a conservative Texan being informed that perry had not granted clemency to someone who had been pretty much conclusively exonerated. Instead of granting him a new trial, he was executed.

The voters response to Perry's intransigence was to the effect of, "damn. It takes real balls to do that".

Not outraged. Not even disdain. Admiration because it took "balls" to execute an innocent man.

They're beyond redemption.

A conservative just represents those among us who experienced Stockholm Syndrome as a result of sever conditioning to make them terrified of some horrible form of damnation if they failed to conform. As children. It’s what the make perfect cult followers susceptible to mob violence and mass hysteria.

Having lost a sense of self worth they only feel worthwhile enforcing whatever garbage they were taught to believe makes them valuable as members of a herd.

Liberals break down into two camps, those not so badly threatened as to retain some sense of self worth or those who rejected their oppressors.

Two kinds of conservatives too, those molded in some coherently rational way and those with nut case moral beliefs.

I too am always amazed when govt's power is reduced. And I imagine that it does take a lot of bravery for a govt official to act to reduce the govt's power while working within it.

it's as if anidi0t0'smind and his brain rot are being perfectly described in that article. The thinking of such people. I wonder if our guy's corpus collusum has been severed, or something. It's like the the hemisphere's of his brain can't communicate to each other. Every thought he has is just like a squirrel with side-facing eyes: whenever it pivots its head, the world changes. Just like when an idea or thought comes into such people's brains. They just get lost in cross-communication. I think it's way they are such sociopaths.

All you need to look at is the rate of exonerations, while on death row, when new forms of evidence become standardized (E.g, DNA), old forms have been exposed for the shoddy quakery that they are (fiber matching, bullet scoring, much of arson investigation is a shitpile), oh and of course the reality that nature of human memory casts incredible doubt on witness testimony. We know these things, and we know it has exonerated dozens.

So, just looking at the rate of modern exonerations, imagine how many have been executed, long long ago for the same fake bullshit evidence. There is no denying it. Also through in the generation of that white myth of the "evil black predator!" that saw so many being sent to the chair for simply finding enough "proper witnesses" to condemn a man for just not looking right. This is our history. No one is inventing this.

Among the hundreds / thousands who faced execution over the years, there have been quite a number of innocent people.
Do you care if innocents are executed?

The practice is not safe guarded enough against circumstantial cases. It is misused, and misapplied. Innocent people are killed by the state.
I would see that end.
 
Funny how small government types are fine with the government having the power to kill its own citizens if it's mostly pretty sure they did something bad.
