Could we not make some really big rocket, and fly it into Jupiter or similar so it burns up, and load all the worlds garbage on it, and voila, no more rubbish! Might cost a bit for rockets, but if the wester countries band together it could help us all
I think we should send it to the sun. Gravity does most of the work after the rocket gets out of earth's gravity, and there's no mess to clean up... ever.
Given the amount of garbage on the planet, and the limited weight a rocket/shuttle can take into ordbit, it would be one of the most innefficient and costly things we could ever do.
That reminds me of the Futurama episode where they did the exact same thing of what you described. THey sent all their garbage into outerspace and then later on, it came back at them.
yep too costly what i've always wondered what would happen if we vaporized it via thermonuclear weapons (hydrogen bomb)
im no chemistry expert but their wouldnt be much left
and i know its an atomic bomb at its center but its much cleaner than an atomic bomb and i think the fallout is minimal right? because it is known as a clean bomb
i may be talking out my arse but i was always wondering if this was feasible
