Garbage collection rant

I too have muttered some choice words under my breath after seeing what the trash men would not pick up. Like the yard debris they found after they opened up a plastic bag to reveal some tree stems. Yard debris is supposed to go in paper bags for the recyclers. However, I guess I should have put a note on it that said there was long lasting brush killer on those stems and turning them into mulch would not have been a good thing. The next week I just put that bag into the big waste bin so they couldn't see it.

My garbage people used to take anything and everything but now that they moved to those special trashcans that they only use the mechanical arm to pick up, they're damn picky about what they take and picky about how far the lid is open.

Hey, I don't hate people unless they give me a reason to.

Take the neighbors lawn service for example. One time they picked up dog shit from near the lot boundary that was in my own yard, and threw it on my driveway. They didn't realize it, but they needed to use about 2 feet of my yard (that they thought was my neighbors, which is where the dog shit was located) to squeeze their big ass mower into my neighbors back yard. The next week they found a couple 100+lb rocks sitting in their path.

That might not be their fault. The neighbor might've told them to move any dog poop to your driveway since you're probably the asshole neighbor. "La caca aqui! aqui!"

the garbage guys here are nice. they will take anything.

In my city, pizza boxes are not allowed with the recyclables, probably due to food residue.

in my city...the garbage man dumps your recycling bin into your dumpster, then it all goes bye bye. I cracked up the first time I saw it.

Our guys will take anything within reason. I put a HUGE desk out after I tore it down to planks. They took it without any fuss. I'll put my box collection out once a year and never have an issue.

You guys have some butthole garbage men.
