With a dual monitor setup is it possible to have a game (or anything that runs full screen) on one monitor and an lets say IE open in the other (or AIM or anything like that) and be able to use the the other monitor (the one with IE) without the game minimizing? Thanks a ton in advance...

depends on the game, but in many cases, no.

you will have to run the game in a window to do what you want, as mentioned above.

Theoretically yes. If you've programmed with the Windows API 24/7 for 5 years straight, yes. 😀 Or if you're lucky you'll find a free prog to do it. Sometimes putting it in to windowed mode will work.

please tell me that your all wrong... I have wandered the same question for a while. My friend has his computer running FREEBSD operating system and he could do that, not that he plays games. He can have w/e he wants maximized on one window and anything he wants on the other screen. Guess its not possible with Microsucks XP. What about nvidia/ati drivers???

why dont you just get another cheap pc or if you have an old one sumthing for running mozzila and aim wouldnt be hard.
