Gaming rig

I'm building a computer simply for gaming. Want to watch movies too, probably don't see myself multitasking too much, but also don't want a dog if i want to do a few things at once. I am willing to spend 1400 or so, but would prefer to spend much much less if possible. I have a hard drive that I'll use and buy a new one at a separate time. Other than that, i need something from scratch. Ideas? I know I definitely want a gf7800gt and nothing less...but that's the only thing i'm really wanting to stick to. I have little experience OCing other than some simple bios changes to gain a little clock speed a few years back. Ideas?

Antec Sonata II with 450 power supply
ASUS A8N-E Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego
Corsair 2x512mb (1GB) RAM
NEC ND-3550 DVD Burner
BFG 7800GT bundled with Call of Duty 2 (Cool?!)
Seagate 7800.9 160gb

Total- $995+shipping/tax

Does that rig match what you need?

Actually, I really dig that setup. I don't need the HDD atm. So I could probably take that money and add another gig of ram and should I go a little higher on the CPU? any reason for me to have a dual core, or worthless since i don't really need the mtt capability?

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me. Would maybe like option to add another 7800gt when they come down in price.

2gb will be neat for newer games but if you want to have another 7800gt.. it'll cost more than 1400.. so do you want to use SLI? If so then get ASUS A8N-SLI Premium.
