What are you expecting?? Games are single threaded of course it will be no faster than same speed San Diego core in game.

Now try and rncode a DVD while gaming and the picture changes completly. It will maintain the same frames it had under that game by itself while still encoding at full speed. The sigle core will drop frames and be slower in both.

WWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! so would it be anything like haivng a 4.8Ghz for multi-tasking? im not sure if you can add frequency like that, i havent studied that alot

Why does Norton kick up a full virus scan during gaming? Not having that particular program, I guess this could be a silly question.

Because I have Norton set to scan and update in the wee hours of the morning (and sometimes I happen to be awake playing online) when I "should be asleep".

Thats why I said I turn off Norton when I want to play.
