Gaming PC Spec, Please Check!

Basically, the proposed components should work OK.

However. There are some suggested changes.

The Intel i7-3770k CPU is overkill for gaming.

If not overclocking, then use this CPU.

If overclocking, then use this CPU.

Better (faster) SSD for gaming is the Samsung 840 Pro.

Base power requirement is about 350W, allowing for some overclocking as well. But, allowing for PSU derating due to aging, suggest a PSU of around 450~500W.

Suggest this PSU (Seasonic G-550).

Nice build, expect what are you going to do on it? Gaming? Streaming? Multitasking? Recording? Video Editing? Some modeling and animation eg Blender?

Gaming/Gaming+Streaming/Gaming+Recording/Video Editing/ 3D modelling = FX 8320/8350

i5 3570 is tied with FX 8320/FX 8350, i7 3770k is better most of the time. Piledriver series is great, you will see more and more multi-threaded programs/games using the full potential of Bulldozer/Piledriver/Steamroller(Q4 2013) arhitecture...

If you want to save up on eletricity then Intel is the go, but upgrading will cost you more since each newer generation of Intel processors have a new socket while AMD maintains socket compatibility with previous generation eg AM3/AM3+ and so on per generation...

Vampirr pointed out some interesting points......depending on what you're spending but if you're going with 235ish for a video card....

I'd go with the new 7950 boost - it will be a lot faster than the 660 TI specially after over clocking....

Also going with either http://www.ebuyer.com/349029-intel-...b-cache-retail-boxed-processor-bx80637i53570k

or http://www.ebuyer.com/409184-amd-fx...mb-cache-retail-boxed-processor-fd8350frhkbox

Would be a better buy; difference isn't much - specially in multi threaded......you can put the money you save into better MB and SSD......

Faster memory for cheaper......

Or 990X chipset from AMD;

MB you listed for Intel is decent.....

Some say you can go less on the PSU; and you could but honestly you've picked a decent; and one thing I always say is do not skimp on PSU...better to have one that still has room to give you more power.....🙂

SSD; check out few of them for 120; that will give you a nice boost......🙂 Hope this helps;
