Gaming on MCE 2005

Is it safe to assume that the performance of MCE 2005 would be on par with XP as far as games go? I want to put MCE 2005 on my main rig so I can stream movies to my Xbox360 but I dont want to lose any gaming functionality on the computer either.

Any advice or links to a site that reviews MCE as a gaming platform?

MCE 2005 = xp professional with a software package.

The first cd in the 3 cd set is xp pro.
