So, how were the graphics? Did it freak you out? Was it larger than life?

what does that mean? plasmas dont burn in. im so tired of idiots parroting that misinformation. ive left mine on the same screen overnight several times by accident and it never burns in at all. sometimes its been on the menu of a dvd (no animations) for 20 - 25 hours and it has absolutely nothing burned in.

and before some moron says plasmas dont last very long, the 50 - 60 thousand hour ratings are way more than enough. thats like 8 hours a day for 20 years or something absurd like that.

No but playing the XBox airplane game where you shoot the other guys (can never remember the name) on my projector which came out to almost a 100+ screen was awesome. Felt like I was actually flying. heh.

Remembered: Crimson Skies.

Plasmas can burn in but most of the newer models have a feature built in that will actually move pixels around a tiny bit if it detects that an image is staying in the same part of the screen for a long time. Sort of like on TV shows where they don't want you to see someone's face so they scramble the image, only on a much smaller scale (or is it larger?). You get the idea.

Besides, who ever said images burn in in 20-25 hours? I'd expect it to only if it was on for like 150+ hours, and then only to a minute degree.

Yep... gaming on my 50" DLP is sweet.

I play the following games @ 1280 x 720 with AA/AF enabled:

Half Life 2
F.E.A.R.
NFSU 2
Call of Duty 2
Doom 3
Ultimate Spiderman
Xmen Legends 2
Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood

Love it!

That makes me want to game on my 50" DLP. It has VGA and DVI connections and I've connected my PC up to it before... it's like having a huge monitor. It's not like hooking up to a low res TV either...
