Gaming on a 13 in screen; how is it?

I currently have a 17in Asus gaming laptop that I absolutely love, but I'm looking to get a smaller one. I see some excellent, powerful 13in laptops that are 1920x1080, and I'm just wondering for those that have one what their experiences are. I'm confident I would be OK with a 15in screen, but 13 just seems like it would be so small for gaming (TF2, ESO, my myriad of Steam games).

Anyone have any opinions on the matter? Any suggestions if you like them?

I play some games on my 11.6in laptop. Its fine for some games and genres, provided the hardware in the laptop can handle the game. Usually when you go smaller, the hardware becomes weaker because of heat & power constraints.

Played WoW, LoL and a few old games on my 13.3" laptop. It was fine, never once did I think this screen was too small. Only thought I had was this thing is too fooking slow :\ Screen was acceptable though

I use the Sager in my signature all the time for various racing games (14.1 " Full HD) and it is very nice. OP, Just curious did you have the G73JH ? (Mine is still going strong).

I have the G75VW; it's great but I just want something smaller. I'll probably go for a 15 inch.

depends on what you play.

slow pace games such as minecraft or sims. 13" will be fine.
medium pace game like sc2 or wow. minimum 17" or 19".
fast pace games like bf4. 23"+.

if you're moving from 17" gaming laptop to a 15" gaming laptop, honestly there isn't too much difference I had the G73JH then moved to a 15" sager, honestly they were equally a pain in the ass, both large and heavy as fuck. Gaming laptops are just not easy to carry around, and while the 15" is technically smaller, it wont feel much smaller after a week or so.

I play all of those fine on my 17in right now.

Idk...if I go to the 15in I'd be dropping the weight by about 1/2...

I Used to game EXCLUSIVELY on an Alienware 14.

I had no issues gaming on it. Do NOT expect to run everything at Ultra, but a Mix of High to Ultra in almost every game seemed to be fine to me.

I LOVED being able to put the laptop on a lap pad, and sit wherever I wanted to in and around the house as well as wherever I wanted to go.

I was a WoW Junkie, and the 14 inch laptop was fine. 25 man raids no problem with healbot on the screen for healing.

Eh, I guess it's alright when you're on the go. I personally play on a large monitor on my desktop so it's kinda hard to switch to a 13" screen.

However, on things like road trips and I'm not driving, I like to play a little bit of games I had installed from Steam :p
