I have a 40" LCD (none LED) 60hz and never had any issues with motion blur etc. HOWEVER, when it comes to quality of picture it simply doesn't compare to a monitor.

Size of pixels obviously has a lot to do with it.

But overall the gaming experience is very good.

All LCDs (not just TVs) will have some degree of ghosting. While its pretty much a non-issue for video (most sources of which is only 24 or 30fps), its far more noticeable when gaming. Plasmas are similar to CRTs in that their image refresh response time is virtually instantaneous relative to LCD.

I have a setup in front of the 58" now & it works fine. I don't think the 65" would be much different, distance wise, anyway...

Edge lit frequently has issues with even lighting. It's quite noticeable on darker backgrounds. Many look like clouds at night! Not a fan of that at all. If you're watching movies and playing games you probably won't notice it much but if you also use it to surf and work, definitely. Pixel pitch is another issue when you get up to 40" +

Of course if you're sitting back far enough it won't look like you're playing through a screen door!
