what a FX does pretty good in BF3 multiplayer

That's running at a stupidly low resolution- it's hardly a good benchmark when there's a 60Hz cap.

smh 😵 the res is low because at lower resolutions the CPU becomes a factor instead of the gpu.

In a game with a 60FPS cap? All that does is show that every single modern CPU hits that 60FPS cap at a very low resolution, and gives us no comparative data. It's a pointless benchmark.

Get the Intel 3570k and a nVidia 560 Ti video card. Power supply make sure its quality and you spend at least 80 dollars on it and your off, put in a SSD then your a super NOVA!!! gl

CPU load doesn't change with resolution. If a CPU will let you get 60fps at 1024x768, it will also let you get 60fps at 2560x1440. Conversely, if you can't get 60fps on one CPU but another CPU can, it won't matter how much graphical power you throw at it because you're CPU limited.

That bench shows the FX-4100 as capable of delivering 60fps minimum in that game (regardless of video card or graphical settings), which is useful information.

Thank you

If OP is still reading this i take back what i said about getting an i5. Buy an FX CPU, it will serve you well and AMD needs help anyways.

thank you all for the replies.

first of all my budget is around 700 dollars(550 euros)for just the tower WITHOUT GPU...That along with the screen will come later...

Anyway, now i know a few things about these cpu's it's mostly a matter of if i'll still want to game in 2 years from now...But i suppose that at that time i can get a whole new rig anyway.Plus i really wanted to get the whole thing together and build it to enjoy, not piece by piece which is what is going to happen now.I need a computer quickly and don't have another 400 euros or so to get everything now so the mood is spoiled.

Unless i settle with this little notebook i have for a while more...:whiste:

This is quite an interesting discussion you guys are having here...
