I find that the Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse is only $35.99 AR now. (that sounds a good price..) Do you think I should returne the G9 for this one?

I bought it for that price and I have to say I cannot use any other mouse. It is an excellent gaming mouse, just takes some time getting used to it.

I have that mouse and I like it. The only problem is the thumb grip has an odd texture that makes my thumb all sweaty. It feels weird.

If you dislike the feel of the G9 (I know I hated it to hell), get rid of it. Nothing makes me rage more than a mouse that I don't want to hold. The G500 is an excellent mouse.

I hate laser mice. When gaming, if you have to pick up the mouse and move it, laser mice can still track when off the surface and makes you move when you don't want to. I bought an MX518 just for that reason.

Anyone endorse or use Razer mice? I'm kind of interested in the Mamba though the price is a little steep. Up to this point I've owned a dozen or so Logitech's and currently use a G5 although it's starting to fail.

I used the G9 for over a year, and about 4 months ago switched to the G500.

I prefer the G500 simply for the size. The G9 felt a bit small to me, but both are absolutely excellent mice.

? My MX518 could still track when it was off the surface too?

My laser mouse Xai only tracks when it is super close to the surface.

Optical mice can track but only when still very close to the surface. Laser mice are stronger and can track from farther distances and really sucks when gaming.

i prefer my ideazon reaper edge.

It looks good with the carbon fibre top. Vry good specs and the buttons have a real good layout. Bought 2 of these mouse just to be sure i would have a second one when this one wears out.

And it just looks good next to my ideazon zboard.

If both my mouses wear out ill go str8 to microsoft sidewinder. I so love the wireless version. My little brother has it and it looks awsume the specs are even better and the overal design layout is just perfect for gaming. It feels so much better then any other mouse that i tried and used.

This!!! Seriously this!!

I had a microsoft habu for a while, and it would track for some distance when lifted off the mouse mat... how do people actually get kills etc with this crap? The only real gaming mice are optical.

What are you guys going on about? I've NEVER had thad problem on laser or optical. Be less lazy and pick it up moar or something? Sounds like PEBKAC

My G5 does not track once I lift it beyond 5 mm. My MX518 does about the same thing. Your statement is invalid.

Sounds like you are easily swayed by marketing and have the laser = better BS in your head. Laser mice wont make you suck less you know, actually knowing how to aim/hit things will 😛

What the hell are you talking about? Did I say laser was better? Oh right, I didn't. Sounds like you're making shit up. I could care less if my G9 were optical or laser, I can't tell the difference. But I know I've never really unintentionally tracked on either.

Its ok, by the sounds of it you are probably used to getting shot in the face by the other team repeatedly, you probably wouldnt notice if it unintentionally tracked or not lol.

What the hell are you smoking?

If you're having to pick up your mouse while trying to target someone, you're probably a pretty awful player

Although I have no idea what gaming prowess has to do with you experiencing a tracking problem from not picking your mouse up enough and me not experiencing it...

I have the Mamba and after a few months of using it I have come to the conclusion it is a massive waste of money. Save yourself $100 or more and go with something else.

I have a Deathadder 3.5g, and its nearly perfect. Unfortunately the sides have a really slick finish, so my fingers would loose grip. So I had to use some all sports grip tape, and now its perfect.

Best Buy also has the Logitech G9 laser for $40.
