Gaming LCD

I have almost all the parts for my new computer and want to upgrade my monitor as well. I'm keeping my old 17" as a secondary monitor, but I want something larger for gaming. Some things I want with the monitor are: fast response time, and ability to hook up my xbox 360 in HD. BTW I'm going to be using a 8800 GTX and my price range is <$300, lower the better. So far I'm looking at Acer AL2216Wbd. Anyone have experience with this monitor? If not suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have the Acer Al2216 - I just replaced it with the Soyo 24" LCD, and gave the Acer to my son. I can tell you that the Soyo is much better, and I bought mine for $299. The Acer was $299 when I bought it, but I think they are near $200 now. If you have $300, the best LCD is the 24" Soyo. If you want to spend around $200, then the 22" LCDs are a good choice, but you are making some sacrifices. Note that the 22" Acer is a TN panel, while the 24" Soyo is a S-PVA panel, which is a true 8-bit panel with better viewing angles..

Both panels only have DVI and VGA inputs, so you'll need to use one of those for the XBox360.

I have an Acer AL2223W and I enjoy it a lot. Although I got it on a great deal at BB for 189 OTD. Compared to the 2216 it just has better contrast (800 v 700) but lacks in the color department (16.3 v 16.7 colors). Overall I like it. There went my 2 cents, now I just gotta hope my $5 does better wednesday with the powerball.
