I've heard alot here that the newer LCDs are fine for gaming, and do not have the ghosting problem of the older LCDs. But recently I have been hearing that even the newer LCDs DO have ghosting problem. I would just like to know if the newer LCDs do or do not have ghosting problem, since I am thinking of making the jump from CRT to LCD. Also, if anyone would like to recommend a good 19" LCD for around $600 dollars I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

that plus whatever rebates and codes you can find and stack on :)

Thanks, but that may be a little to expensive. Is there any thing around the $600 dollar range that is 19" and will run great for gaming?

I like the Samsung 191T, also, I think Dell has a 1901FP or something to that effect, it's basically a 19" version of the 2001FP.

Sure they'll run games but as far as I know, none of the 19" LCDs out right now have a 16ms or less response time.

Even though the Dell 1800FP is only 18.1" and has a 30ms "paper spec" response time, it does not show any ghosting and I have (2) of them. I play an extremely fast paced UT2K3 Zark Rifle mod and watch DVD movies with no trace of ghosting. Do a search for 1800FP and you'll pull up a ton of feedback. You can probably pick one up for around $475.00.

Basically, what you want is the lower response time. 16 ms is what you have been hearing as being "gaming LCDs". I would wait until the Dell 2001 is in your price range, or your price range is in the range of the 2001. Think about it. 20" viewable! ::Drools::

I wouldn't mind saving up for one.
