After realizing how much fun GTA V online is , I became interested in purchasing a headset. I've been looking online and the HyperX Cloud 2 and the Steelseries Siberia V2 seem to be popular.

But I was just curious what you guys use?

Whats your budget? I have Logitech G430's and they work great. 7.1 surround, and you can usually get them around $60

Headphones of your choice (Denon D600 at work, Sennheiser Momentum over-ear V2 at home) + AntLion ModMic.

I use AKG K712 headphones and a CAD U37 Condenser microphone.

It's a higher end setup than most, but the microphone is only about $55 and you can use whatever headphones you want.

I have the original HyperX Cloud headset and love 'em.

You can still get them for $20-$25 less than v2, but I'd probably go ahead and the latest (even though the improvements are minor).

budget?

if you can make it to $100, you can get some semi-pro, like sennheiser, which will work substantially better.

you need to add your own microphone. people suggest the antlion

recently bought a g930 (wireless and 7.1) from logitech. sound is great. they seem a bit heavy but not too bad. I was using the little extender that dongle connects to and I would have to keep reseating the dongle between uses to get it to "pair" or whatever. I started using the dongle directly connected to PC and so far I haven't seen the issue, but only tried it 1 day so far.

can get a bit hot since they completely cover your ears.

I second the G930's. Good sound, enjoyable surround implementation. On my second pair.
I can wear them for hours without discomfort. Battery life and wireless range is very good.
