i have AMD 64 3200+ , DFI nf4 board and patriot xblk (512 x2 ) and 6600gt

should i sell it (x 2 3800) or keep it and install it for gaming.

please help me

The X2 3800+ is bascially two 3200+.

There will be no improvement to gaming with an X2 3800+.

However, heavy multitasking will be much better on the X2.

Or if you are like me & want to encode video while playing a game, then an X2 would be good.

Also, getting more RAM & a better video card would help more with gaming than an X2.

If it is just strictly a gaming PC I wouldn't even bother upgrading the CPU. Just upgrade the video card or get another 1GB of RAM.

i guess i should selling it because like you guys say. that AMD x2 3800 is the samething as AMD 64 3200+.

i just open the box. and i havenot use it yet.

how much should i sell it?

i have a (TCCD)DDR400 patriot xblk and it gives me a lot of error. The problem is I throw away the recepit for the memory. I have the RMA number. Is there any chance i can exchange the memory or not?

Well, stick it in there and try it for a couple of days. I bet you don't sell it.

i am using AMD64 3200+ right now.

i heard that X2 3800+ is the same as AMD64 3200+.

is it worth upgrade AMD 64 3200+ to X2 3800+?

Great thread guys as I have been out of the upgrade loop and so I have been learning as much as I can for the last couple of weeks
and so I was figuring that the AMD64 X2 was the way to go for me as I primarily build my computers for gaming (and photo editing)

so after reading this I can just get a high end AMD64 and forget the X2 extras 🙂 and get a good SLI mobo 😀

Regards,
CA
