Good call mfenn. Ok so I have a few new ones now I'd like to compare....

OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) $220

Intel 510 Series (Elm Crest) SSDSC2MH120A2K5 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) $277

Mushkin Enhanced Chronos MKNSSDCR120GB 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) $200

What do you think of these 3? I still have the elm crest listed because I'm using it as my control group to compare the other drives to.

Of those three, I would do the Mushkin every time (price/performance). Another drive that you should consider is the Crucial M4 128GB for $212.

i dont understand why crucial was never mentioned besides me :/ they have great reviews and go on sale pretty often it seems around 180 for the 128. is there something im missing about crucial ssds lol

Would u say crucial is better than mushkin?

I'd call the M4 and Sandforce (Mushkin just repackages their controller) pretty even in terms performance, with the Sandforce having a slight edge. Sandforce has less polished firmware though, so I feel like the Crucial would be better for a first-time SSD owner.

Well the crucial looks pretty darn good so I might stick with that one. The last thing is the case everyone, I'm still waiting to get some feedback on the cases we discussed earlier like the COOLER MASTER HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN1-GP Black Steel + Plastic and Mesh Bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case VS Corsair Obsidian Series 650D (CC650DW-1) Black Steel structure with black brushed aluminum faceplate ATX Mid Tower Computer thanks again!

The 650D is a very nice case and I like the styling of it better than the 922. I dunno if I would pay twice as much for it though.
