Gaming and Programming Forums: Kerneldump

Modeps

Lifer
Hey Guys, I know several of you have been asking for a gaming specific forum, and although my intentions were to write one for Gamerspouch (also a request), that task seems a bit daunting to take on by my lonesome in my current life situation (too much to do, too little time to do it in). So instead, to appease the masses, I've reinstalled phpBB on my main webserver and brought Kerneldump Forums back from the dead. I'll probably go in and try to make some mods with the software, but their package is just so well used and tested that I just couldnt say no.

In the past KD was a hotspot for gaming stuffs until I switched servers 3 years ago and it faded away into nothingness. Hopefully it'll return to it's glory yet again. Yes, you can use off-site avatars (clean please). Yes you can post images in posts (clean please).

Let me know if you want any improvements to it or what not. I'll take all serious requests into consideration.

Edit: added programming section to KDF

nice, thanks for joining... Also, I noticed that a buncha you have been clammoring for a seperate programming area in here that has yet to be answered, so I've answered that for you as well. I'm not the best systems programmer but I'm solid in several web languages. Hopefully we'll have enough people in there to answer other programming questions too. We'll see.

Dont go there right now... mysql died, working on it.
It figures, I run mysql for a few years with no incident then I put phpBB on it and less than a week later I get problems 🙁

Welp, it's back. All working again. Looks like up2date decided that it wanted mySQL3 installed instead of 4. Thanks RHN!
