I saw this in the sunday paper.
The games traded in need to be PS2, with box and instructions. Its not the best deal, but I have a game that I hate and want to get rid of so..

If someone is deciding between the two games, go for GTA 3. I have both, and both are fun but State of Emergency gets repetitive and isn't nearly as in depth as GTA 3.

State of Emergency is a spectacular game. You can actually blow off a guy's head then pick it up and beat someone else to death with it. This is the only time in my life I think I've ever been asked for id to buy a game. 🙂

I remember i went to EB like 2 weeks ago and they had a similar flyer also.
You could try cause they had something like trade in something and get
GTA3 or State of Emergency for this much!

Oh well...

GTA3 is the most wrong and the most fun game i have played in serveral years. I say wrong because of the way you make the mortality rate very high in any city you visit.

Just called EB and they said "you have to trade in GTA3 and you can get SOE for 14.95." Is gameworld the same as EBX??? Any chance someone can scan that ad???

You know, when you do a trade in, you not only spend $30 for the game, you spend the $50 for the game you are giving them. This effectively increases the price by $30. You really pay $80 for the game, not $30.

I've got SoE...if anyone want to trade straight up for GTA3, I'd be interested.

And did you know that if you didn't like or want the game anymore your getting $30.

Its wierd how things like this work.

If you don't want the game anymore, why did you buy it? You should have rented it.

Sell it on Ebay or return it. Copied from EBay:

*Uncensored Grand Theft Auto 3 GTA3 for PS2* $42.13 13 in 15 mins

I think the intial point was to trade in an old game that you never wanted to play again..in my case Twisted Metal:Black(which I got at BBV for $12) for a newer game. I didn't think ppl would suggest trading new game ie FFX, MGS2, etc... for either of the games in the deal.

If you can buy a game for $12, and use it as a $30 off coupon, it will save you about $15. I got MGS2 for about $20 by doing something like that. This way game trade-ins really do become a "hot deal."
