GameTap.com - Bubble Bobble, Bust-A-Move, Commandos 3, Jagged Alliance 2 Gold, Joust, Tomb Raider: Legend, Metal Slug, Myst Online: Uru Live, Rampage, Space Invaders, King of Fighters among others free until June 4th and then they will refresh the list.

This gives me a reason to get the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter for the PC now.

Jagged Alliance 2 is a great turn-based squad-level tactical combat game with RPG elements, a bit like X-Com and (better than) Fallout Tactics.

gametap supports the wireless adapter and all usb gamepads.

the 360 wireless adapter is just plain convenient if you already have a couple of wireless 360 controllers around.

Why is right..

The reason my PC gets all the playtime instead of my 360.. let's look at the controllers.

The precision of a mouse with multiple ergonomic buttons and a keyboard with at least 30 keys within 2" of my left hand makes the keyboard mouse combo unbeatable, imo.. The only competition again imo is the wii, and racing games on any platform (not so great trying to race with a kb/mouse)

Of course that being said, I am incredibly biased toward fps. I find it impossible to play them with any effectiveness on my 360.

Back on topic, gametap looks like a great site. Verizon should take advantage of the fact they provide fios and use it to offer games on demand too.

Yup. Playing games like Metal Slug is much more enjoyable using a controller than the keyboard. The fact that I already have three 360 controllers in the house just makes it logical that I pick up the wireless adapter.

Now other games like Jagged Alliance you definitely need a keyboard.

Umm...the only game varieties that work better on PC would be FPS and RTS...
I mean I love PC gaming as much as the next geek, but seriously, playing fighting games on a keyboard is not optimal at all, nor is playing racing games (without an expensive steering wheel anyway).

After battling it out playing an FPS like Quake: Rocket Arena back in the day, traditional fighting games just don't hit my g-spot anymore 😉
