Gamestop Question..

I checked out their policy and nowhere can I find the trade in value for a new Wii game.. I got a Costco bundle and it came with Mario Party 8, which I no desire to play. I'd like to trade it in, but I don't know how much I can get for it and they're already closed.. Does anyone know what they'll offer for a new, sealed game?

Thanks!

If it's sealed with no stupid markings denoting that it was part of a package just tell them you got it as a gift and would like something else.

Done.

I wonder if people will ever figure out we have a console forum. It's almost a full time job moving the threads..

The ones near me won't accept unopened games. It's a corporate policy.

post in the console forum and ask blurredvision he works at gamestop 😀

And here I am 🙂.

As mlm posted above, if you take in a sealed game, they're not supposed to take it. Since it is sealed, see what you can get elsewhere for it before taking it to Gamestop and having to open it before you go inside. I don't know the exact trade-in price, but I'm sure it's in the $20 range still for in-store credit. For cash, it's 80% of the trade-in value. Give your local Gamestop a call and just ask them what they'll give for it, shouldn't take them a second to look it up.

Not sure how accurate, but on this page, it say's $30.00

At my local Gamestop, that would be store credit. If you want cash....they deduct another 20%. But like I said, thats at my local store.

That should be pretty accurate. Mario Party games claim a premium at trade-in in comparison to other games of their age because of the popularity of them, even on the Gamecube still.

Go for it. $30 trade in, plus $3 with edge card, plus $10 with current email coupon that came this morning nets you $43 trade in credit for Mario party.

Seems like the best (ethical) option.

And Derek won't let me ban the people when I have to move their thread. 🙁
