It's 2am, I can't sleep, Have to be at work today. So I'm going to whine about my job! yay!

Warning! This post contains Bad grammer and/or spelling! I am not in any way responsible for any loss of IQ from reading this post!

Here is a list of things I have noticed or learned while working at GameStop.

#1. Get a life.

Some times it really makes me sad that some kids have nothing better to do than hang out at a game store all day.

When my siblings and I were kids we climbed trees, went to the lake, played tag, and poked dead birds with a stick. We didn't ask are mom to drive us down to the local game store and play demos all day. but I guess kids these days don't know how fun it is to play cops and robbers.

#2. Kids aparantly think that they just showed up one day and their parents are just there to wipe their @ss and buy them games.

The fact that most of the kids that come into my store are disrespectful to their mothers sickens me. They are spoiled little brats that need a good @ss whooping. They staid there and whine and cry until they get their way. parents need to learn how to lay down the law.

When I was a kid I had a "Mean Mom" she would never let me get away with that stuff as a kid. If we were at a store and I started to cry about a toy, we were out of there. No if ands or buts, even if my Mom wasn't done shopping she wouldn't let me act like that. Some times if I really wanted a game or a toy she would find something for me to do around the house. Like one time My bro and I Re tiled the kitchen floor, it wasn't the best job it the world ya. but none the less we got it done and my mom get my bro a new part for his computer and I got two games for mine.

Threw that she showed me that if you really want something, you work for it.

#3. We are are not a baby sitting service.

Parents, if you have to go run erinds, bring your kid with you or find a sitter.

I can't tell you how many times ppl have left their kid(s) in my store telling them that they will be back in (*insert time space here*). It pisses me off to no end that some one would leave their kid with compleat strangers, alone. And some of the kids are bearly 5-6yrs, they are WAY to young to by themselves!

And last time I checked, I don't get payed to watch someone kid(s). If I am, I'm not seeing the money.

Maybe I should start charging by the hour...

#4. Be nice!

We are there to help you, not to be abused by you.

If something is wrong or got messed up, don't take it out on the clerk. Stay calm and ask nicely for a manager. They are the ones that have to power to get things set straight, and can help you the most.

If things aren't going your way and you are cool about it we will be alot more likely to belive you and bend the rules a bit to help you out. If your a jerk about stuff then we may just say tuff luck!

#5. Fact: God hates Fanboys.

One thing you learn while working at a game store is if you like a certin system, Don't freaking let ANYONE know.

Fanboy costomers will tare you a new one if you even hint that one system is better than the other. I Have had to listen to a FB drone on for an hour why the PSVII is, in every way, better than the Okama gamesphere.

#6. THEY ARE FLIPPN' TOYS!

If you ever go into a gamestop and ask one of the guys that have been working there longer about what it's like when they get in new McFarland sports toys, he will tell you a tale of horror, blood and death.

When collectors find out when the new series of toys are coming out, they will be there a hour early to get in line with the ten other guys there. Most of them don't really collect them, they buy the rare ones and put them on Ebay before most ppl are done eating breakfast.

I have heared of fist fights breaking out over them and have SEEN grown men push each other out of the way to be the first at the toy rack.

#7. When you turn 20, move out.

Just do it.

I've seen what happens when you don't.

Well I think thats all I feel like writing, starting to get sleepy agen...

Think I'll go back to sleep.

If you have a loved one that is a console Fanboy call the Fanboy help service at 1-GODHATESME

No baggers were killed in the making of this post.

You haven't earned the right to say such longwinded and opinionated things on here and expect people to read them.

Ham-License without the applicable Grandfather-clause will be $42....Credit Card only and no one-time use numbers chump...

Grown men who collect comic books, toys, or collectable memorbilia and/or obsess over video/computer games are losers.

Seconded!!

I worked a part time job in a Toy Store many years ago. The fact that it was in a mall made it MUCH worse. ALL aspiring parents should be forced to work in a toy store before raising their own kids only to see how bad parents create terrible children.

I like it, besides the spelling errors and format, he has good points.

Most of the GameStop clerks I encountered were not very friendly or helpful.
