Still I want to see them do something...

like I said, good luck. they will most likely assume you are a complete idiot based upon your letter and believe that that is how you acted in the store, which will lead them to believe the manager acted appropriately and that Gamestop doesn't need whiny, moronic consumers buying their products and then complaining about them.

whatever you say man. There is nothing idiotic about my letter. I think it's just you little boys that get offended because I insulted your hangout because you are all LOSERS with no g/f's and just hang out at gamestops all day and make friends with other guys who are also losers who play games all day and live at home with their parents well into their 30's. So I don't care what you think anymore ATOT'ers. WHy did I even post this?

You posted this because you're a starving attention whore. Just pull an "i told u i was hardcore" and say that ATOT made you do it, and you'll go down in history.

To whom it may concern,

I purchased a new game at your xxx gamestop branch on Monday, January 29th. I was extremely disappointed to discover that the store I was at did not have an actual box to put my new purchase in, which I find extremely disconcerting. Nevertheless, the manager was able to call another nearby store which did have a box and offered to provide me with one on sight of my current receipt. I was more than satisfied with this result. Unfortunately, upon my arrival at the XXX branch, I was unpleasantly surprised to find the management crass and unhelpful. They not only initially refused to give me the packaging I needed for my purchase, but the manager implied that her store was not associated with other gamestops. Eventually, she did agree to provide me with a box, but I was extremely unhappy with her conduct in this matter, and would like to bring the lack of professionalism at the XXX branch to your attention.

Sincerely,

to pretend to be a rep is so gay. You are such a loser.

---

CasioTech

The word, "gay" means happy. In contemporary usage, it also refers to homosexuality. It is NOT a generalized negative adjective. Such usage only promotes homophobic stereotypes and bigotry.

We have many good, contributing members who happen to be gay. Who they are is not your business, but you may not continue to post such verbal abuse on our forums. Doing so again may be reason to suspend your posting privileges.

If you think yours is an appropriate way to conduct any business interactions, I can guarantee you will be crippled in any career you seek to pursue. But I have trouble believing that you're over fourteen anyway, with your writing skills, so you have plenty of time. 😎

Dear So,

After further investigation into the incident reported regarding your shopping experience at our XXX branch, we have determined that you actually purchased a pre-owned copy of GAME. As we are unable to guarantee anything other than the disc itself, we are regretfully unable to provide the original box or manual unless it is traded in with the media.

nah, see thats the funny part....he didn't ask for help in writing it, he just posted what he sent them. He is too stupid to see his own ignorance and seek assistance. He's one of those kids that thinks he knows everything despite having zero experience and won't listen to anyone's advice.

Businesses know that customers are often irrational in their requests, and it's those that can articulate their problem in a respectful and mature way that get attention.

Your letter will be passed around as a joke to all the employees. That's almost a guarantee.

excellent point. that part escaped my notice.

Eh...

1) Professionalism counts. Just because you're writing to Chuck E. Cheese doesn't mean you write like an 11 year old throwing chat speak everywhere. You write in a readable manner (i.e. paragraphs are cool) and cohesively. As a writer, you should take your target audience into account, not take the reader's target audience into account. You said Gamestop caters to younger gamers, therefore you wrote it with the emo rage of a young gamer. Wrong, you write it with the attitude that some guy in a nice office and a fancy suit is going to read it.

2) Boxes? Why did you even expect a new box? To my knowledge, if EB or Gamestop doesn't have a box, you get a generic one. So you shouldn't have even expected a box and only received a generic one from the second store at best.

I can tell you that if you pulled that in the Gamestop around me, they most likely would've just kicked you out. They treat people who act like asses with the same regard, but unfortunately, that Gamestop also treats their good customers like crap too (doing things like selling their pre-orders, etc). Believe it or not, Gamestop will not be hurting with the loss of your sales or even the loss of your friends' sales (if you try to convince them never to go there).

A little off topic, does anyone notice that EB Games is always cheaper than Gamestop in most regards? I saw some PSP games at Gamestop and they were $30 and the same games were $20 at EB Games. All aforementioned games were brand new as well.
